Dragutin Matić


Dragutin Matic , baritone, was born in 1981. in family of opera singers in Belgrade, Serbia.
During his studies of Law Faculty in Belgrade, he started to practice singing privately with baritone Prof. Slobodan Stankovic.
He continued his studies with  famous Prof. Radmila Bakocevic, and in 2008. year he is starting the Academy of music "FILUM" in Kragujevac, Serbia, in her class.
In 2009/10 he became a member of opera studio in Belgrade National Opera.
In 2010. year he continued his further studies on “Hochschule für Musik Würzburg”, in Germany, in class of Prof. Leandra Overmann and later, in class of Prof. Cheryl Studer and graduated in 2012.
There he made numerous opera productions and gala concerts, and achieved stage experience.  
 He is a winner of first prize of international singing competitions "Nikola Cvejic" in Ruma, Serbia, and "Petar Konjovic", Belgrade, Serbia.
He is also a winner of special prize for best interpretation of opera aria, from Madlenianum Opera, Belgrade.
 He made a  great number of solo concerts all over the Serbia, and Germany and participated on different festivals.
 In 2012. he participated as soloist in concert performance of Saint-Saëns “Samson and Delilah ” in Wiesbadens Marktkirche, Germany, with Ostböhmische Staatsphilharmonie Hradec Králové orchestra under guidance of Maestro Thomas J. Frank.
 In 2012. he appeared for the first time as Conte di Luna in Verdi's “Il trovatore” in Belgrade National opera, Serbia, where he performed that role numerous times, after which he continued with Verdi repertory as Renato in “Un ballo in mascera” and Nabucco in “Nabucco”. He can be also seen as Figaro in Rossinis "Il barbiere di Siviglia" and Dr. Falke in Strauss " Die Fledermaus".
 From 2013. he sings as regular guest soloist in Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad, Serbia, as Conte di Luna, Nabucco, Simone Boccanegra, Enrico in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoore and scheduled for Rigoleto in Verdi's “Rigoleto” and G. Germount in “La traviata”-
 He appeared  in 2013/14 as Count Danilo in operetta “The merry widow” by F. Lehár in Sarajevo National Theater, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he showed abilities contrasting his Verdi repertoire.
