Sanja Kerkez

She was born in the town of Tuzla, former Yugoslavia. She finished her primary and secondary education in Tuzla and, later on, she enrolled in Music Academy in Sarajevo in the class of Professor Blanka Kurpijel. During her two years of study in Sarajevo, she becomes a member of Opera in Sarajevo. Thereafter, she moves to Belgrade, where she graduates from Music Academy in the class of Professor Biserka Cvejić. She wins numerous awards in federal singing contests during her studies. She receives a scholarship from German Government and spends a month in Bayreuth, Germany, attending a seminar organized within Wagner Festival. After graduation, she is engaged to sing a role in Mozart’s The Impresario in Belgrade Opera. Subsequently, she is engaged to sing numerous roles: Adele in The Bat, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, etc. She won two annual awards of the National Theatre for her artistic achievements.
Since 2002, Sanja has established a close cooperation with Mrs. Olivera Miljković.
She has performed in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Greece, Croatia, Norway, Japan and France.
