Dragoljub Bajić Appointed Artistic Director of the Opera at the National Theatre in Belgrade

The National Theatre in Belgrade has appointed Dragoljub Bajić, a distinguished opera artist and respected music educator, as the new Artistic Director of the Opera.
For over two decades, Bajić has successfully built an impressive artistic career. He was a permanent member of the National Theatre Opera ensemble in Belgrade from 2004 to 2023.
His extensive repertoire includes leading and title roles such as: Don Pasquale (Don Pasquale), Sarastro (The Magic Flute), Don Basilio (The Barber of Seville), Prince Gremin (Eugene Onegin), Attila (Attila), Zaccaria (Nabucco), Daland (The Flying Dutchman), Oroveso (Norma), Hadži Toma (Koštana), Géronte de Ravoir (Manon Lescaut), Timur (Turandot), among many others.
He has performed in prestigious opera houses and concert halls around the world, including Vienna, Salzburg, Dubai, Seoul, Florence, Moscow, and Bucharest.
Alongside his performing career, Bajić has also achieved significant academic career – he completed both undergraduate and doctoral studies in solo singing at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he now teaches as a lecturer.
With the appointment of Dragoljub Bajić, the National Theatre in Belgrade continues its long-standing commitment to upholding the highest artistic standards.
