The 156th Season of the National Theatre in Belgrade Officially Closed with a Spectacular Opera Gala Concert

The National Theatre in Belgrade formally concluded another highly successful season with an Opera Gala Concert held on Sunday, June 29, on the Main Stage.
The audience enjoyed a programme that included arias, duets, choruses, and orchestral works, offering a rich and diverse musical experience. In honour of Vidovdan (Saint Vitus Day), the concert programme masterfully blended global operatic classics with pieces from the national musical heritage, celebrating culture, tradition, and historical legacy.
The repertoire consisted of masterpieces of both Serbian and international opera and ballet literature, including works by Bellini, Verdi, Bizet, Kálmán, Puccini, Cilea, Mozart, and Donizetti, as well as Serbian music masters such as Stevan Hristić, Stanislav Binički, Isidor Bajić, and Petar Konjović.
Under the baton of Đorđe Pavlović, Aleksandar Kojić, and Đorđe Stanković, the concert featured leading performers and soloists from the Opera of the National Theatre: Sonja Šarić, Sanja Kerkez, Nenad Jakovljević, Sanja Anastasija, Janko Sinadinović, Evgenija Jeremić Pokrajac, Dejan Maksimović, Vesna Đurković, Sofija Pižurica, Ljubica Vraneš, Dušan Plazinić, Vladimir Andrić, Vuk Matić, Snežana Savičić Sekulić, and Ana Rupčić.
The concertmaster was Edit Makedonska, while the artistic team included director Ivana Dragutinović Maričić, set designer Jasna Saramandić, and costume designer Katarina Grčić Nikolić.
