About Artist

He was born on May 19, 1963 in Bucharest (Romania).
He is a permanently employed as a principal ballet dancer and répétiteur at the National Theatre Ballet in Belgrade. 
 
In 1982 he graduated from "George Enescu" University of Arts, Choreography Department, in Bucharest (Romania). The same year he was engaged by the opera in Bucharest in which he has actively played soloist and main roles in the shows from the repertoire since 1981.  
In 1985 at the director’s invitation he was engaged as a principal ballet dancer at the Croatian National Theatre in Split until 1991.
In 1991 he joined the National Theatre in Belgrade as a principal ballet dancer.

As a frequent guest of the Macedonian National Theatre in Skopje, he played in the following ballets: Giselle (L. Lavrovski), Macedonian History (Olga Milosavljeva), Swan Lake, Carmen and Bolero (R. Risimkin), Coppélia (I. Lozinska), Cadet Ball, Pink Floyd (Dragutin Boldin).
In the same period, he was a guest at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, in the ballets Zorba the Greek (K. Simić), Giselle (L. Lavrovski), as well as in "Madlenianum" Chamber Opera in the ballet Nijinsky, Golden Bird (K. Simić), with which he toured Bulgaria, Hungary, Russia (St. Petersburg).

He did the choreography for Hassan-Aga’s Wife opera, 2009.
He staged the evening-length ballet Katerina Izmailova (choreography taken over from Dimitrije Parlić) at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad (2017).
 
PEDAGOGICAL WORK 
He has been a pedagogist at the National Theatre Ballet since 2003. 
He was a professor at “Lujo Davičo” High School of Ballet (2007–2009)
 
AWARDS
First prize at the Romanian Ballet Biennale, 1981
Best Partner Award at the Yugoslav Ballet Competition in Novi Sad, 1991.
National Theatre Annual Award for the role of Mercutio in “Romeo and Juliet” ballet in 1993.
