About Artist

She was born in Belgrade.
Svetlana has obtained her bachelor and master’s degrees from Music Art Academy in Belgrade in class of Professor Anita Mezetova.
Subsequently to her after-graduate studies, she gets a scholarship from Italian Government and spends two years in Milan, Italy, studying at Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory, where she graduates from the class of Maestro Ferrando Ferrari.
During her stay in Italy, she sings on TV RAI and performs in concerts throughout the country (including the Bel Canto festival in Florence).
Her operatic repertoire includes lyric and coloratura roles (Rigoletto, Falstaff, La Boheme, The Pearl Fishers, The Daughter of the Regiment, Don Juan, The Magic Flute, Cosi fan tutte, The Secret Marriage, The Bat, Carmen, Werther, Boris Godunov, Salem Witches, Cinderella, Carmina Burana, etc.).
Her soloist performances in series of recitals in St. Petersburg have been a success.
She also performs in masses, oratories and other vocal-instrumental pieces by Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Mahler, Britten, Orff; and national authors (Vukdragović, Petrović, Maksimović, Radić, Hristić, etc.).
She has performed at Prague Spring International Festival, Athens Festival, BEMUS, Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Ohrid Summer Festival and other national and international festivals.
Svetlana cooperates with Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and other orchestras. Her performances with Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra from Czech Republic (Beethoven’s Missa soleminis, Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 and concert performances of Puccini’s La Boheme in the role of Mimi) have been particularly successful.
She has sung in concerts worldwide: USA, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, India, USSR, China, Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Belgium, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, etc. Many of her performances have been recorded on vinyl, CDs (Carmina Burana – PGP RTS, etc.) as well as on radio and TV.
