About Artist

Slavko was born in 1951.
He graduated in Literature and Theatrology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo. He attended after-graduation studies at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade and at the Institute of Drama and Theatre in Lodz (Poland); and went to Great Britain and USA on study tours.
In 1975 he became a dramaturge, and 1986-1992 he worked as an artistic executive and Manager of the Chamber Theatre 55 in Sarajevo.
He published numerous dramaturgical analysis, studies and essays on theatre, film and television, as well as theatre and television reviews in Yugoslav magazines (he used to be a resident critic of Sarajevo magazine “Odjek“ for ten years).
He is an author of the following radio dramas:

Slavko wrote scripts for TV dramas Together, Stay the Same in Twenty Years, Perspective of the Heavenly Valley for TV Sarajevo, as well as Appearing/Disappearing for TV Belgrade.
Stay the Same in Twenty Years has been adapted and produced in the National Theatre in Zenica. 
In period 1994-1996 he directed the first TV series in Republika Srpska The Bare Life; while between 1995 and 2000, he worked in “Srna film” as a producer and artistic consultant.
For his documentary Coming Back to Southern Mountains (in production of “Srna film”) he received the best film award at the International Festival MEFEST held in 1999 on Zlatibor Mountain.
Since 2000, he has been working as a dramaturge and Drama Director (2001-2005) in the National Theatre in Belgrade.
